This is a pretty amazing article about a Catholic family with 11 kids that lives in the D.C. area. As much as I want a big family, I doubt that I have the organization or patience to pull off an operation this large! I'm pretty sure that woman is a saint.
My favorite part of the article is this: "When he grows up, Tommy, 9, says he wants to be 'a professional basketball player and a priest.' :) I love it. I hope James has similar ambitions.
And I'm totally in awe that they manage to raise their kids in D.C. on a single teacher's salary! I now feel terrible about complaining about our loans. Clearly, other families have bigger problems.
Be sure to read the whole article. The end is the best part.

That is quite amazing! I still don't know how my mom did it. My dad worked during the day and Mom would leave for work right after we got home from school. We had some great babysitters when we were little and until the oldest of us were old enough to watch the others. I love having my big family and could not imagine it being any different. I wanted a big family - at least 5 or 6. Of course, now it would be nice to just have at least one... :)
ReplyDeleteLindsay, your mom is also a saint in my book :)
