Two Year Anniversary

Dave & I celebrated two years of wedded bliss (well, mostly) today.  Dave kicked off the festivities yesterday when he came home from running errands with these beautiful flowers...

and then took me out to dinner at a fabulous French restaurant in D.C.  We split a bottle of wine & shared some fancy appetizer that I couldn't pronounce.  We came back home for a dessert of strawberries, store-bought angel food cake & whipped cream out of a bottle.  No French dessert can compete with that.

Because today is our actual anniversary, I planned a Thai shrimp curry dinner (which was extremely tasty, I'm proud to say) for Dave - who is a curry fanatic.  Then we exchanged gifts and were embarrassed to discover that we'd both gotten each other liquor.  Of course, the embarrassment quickly wore off and then we got down to enjoying our gifts in earnest.

Thanks, Dave, for being a wonderful husband & putting up with all my lovable quirks (aka not-so-lovable faults).  The last two years have been such an adventure and I can't wait to see what the next year brings!
