A quick synopsis of the last year

In my blogging absence, lots of exciting things have happened.  I'm too lazy to post about all of them, so here are the highlights:

July 2010:

We visited White Sands National Monument in southern NM. It was brutally hot, but beautiful.

Also in July, we went to Alaska!!! We had a fabulous time, probably due to the awesomeness of our hosts. I hope they never move so that we'll have a constant excuse to visit them. What a beautiful state.

So many gorgeous lakes & mountains...

 

And lots of scary animals...

We also took a boat tour to see a glacier. You can tell this is a glacier by how cold the boys look.

Oh yeah, and the boys ran an X-terra off-road triathlon. No big deal.

We ended July with a visit from the Holmans! Of course, we forgot to take any pictures until the visit was over & we were dropping them off at the airport. But this picture clearly shows how much fun we had.
